Kathryn and Jack decided to have us as their wedding photographers, and they went all in with a full 10-hour photo shoot! It was smack-dab in the heart of February when we joined them at the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort. The whole shebang went down at this super charming Chapel of Santa María del Secreto in Playa del Secreto, and let me tell you, it was a spot and a half.
We kicked off the day at the resort while Kathryn and Jack were getting all dolled up. They were cool, no wedding jitters in sight. And then, it was time for the main event – the ceremony and the cocktail hour. The chapel was nothing short of magical, and you could almost taste the love in the air.
After that, it was time to get the party started at the Dreams Riviera Cancun lounge. Dinner and dancing? Check! And oh boy, the dance floor was on fire! At Dreams Riviera Cancun, you can choose from four distinct wedding packages. The Wedding In Paradise package starts at $1,149 for up to 10 guests, and it can even be offered for free with specific room booking conditions. For a more intimate celebration, the Elope In Luxury package is available for couples starting around $1,299, while the Eternal Love package is designed for a group of 20 guests, priced between $4,099 and $4,799. If you are planning a larger celebration with up to 79 guests, the Beyond Memorable package ranges from $9,899 to $11,499. Special packages, like the Dulha Dulhan for South Asian weddings, are also available.
How many guests can each ceremony location accommodate?
There are five stunning ceremony locations available at the resort. The Lobby Staircase can host up to 250 guests, while the Gazebo and Oceana Terrace each comfortably accommodate 150 guests. The Beach setting is ideal for up to 100 guests, and the intimate Ceiba Tree venue is perfect for gatherings of up to 60 guests.
What reception venues are offered and what are their capacities?
For your reception, the resort offers seven venues. The Beach venue can accommodate up to 200 guests, and the elegant ballrooms or El Patio Restaurant are perfect for larger events with a capacity of up to 250 guests. More intimate options include the Chef’s Garden for 40 guests and the Deck for 180 guests. Oceana Restaurant is another lavish option, also hosting up to 250 guests, ideal for a sophisticated celebration.
What is included in the wedding packages at Dreams Riviera Cancun?
Each wedding package is designed to provide a stress-free planning experience with an array of inclusions. Standard offerings include a dedicated on-site coordinator, ceremonial details like bouquet and boutonniere, wedding cake with a sparkling wine toast, and special touches such as complimentary rooms and late checkout for the couple. Higher-tier packages add exclusive elements such as beach pergolas, private cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners, buffet receptions, and additional amenities like spa treatment discounts and resort coupons.

Due to the popularity of the resort, especially for larger weddings, it is recommended to book at least one year in advance when opting for the Beyond Memorable package. For smaller weddings or elopements, availability may be more flexible, but early booking ensures that you secure your preferred ceremony and reception venues as well as any additional requests.

Dreams Riviera Cancun offers 486 beautifully appointed octagonal rooms and suites. Guests can choose from Standard, Deluxe, or Premium Rooms, with prices starting at approximately $167.60 per person, per night. For an elevated experience, booking one of the resort’s suites will provide you with extra amenities such as a private balcony, Jacuzzi, and dedicated butler service.
Are there any vendor fees for photography and video services?
The resort’s vendor policy may include additional fees if you choose to bring in external photography and videography services.
